We are Maphalla Mokate Conradie Incorporated. An all female led law firm based in Pretoria.
We consist of a dedicated team of people providing expert service in a professional and friendly environment. In working towards this vision, the firm is guided by clear, comprehensive and commonly accepted principles that inform its operations, service provision and commitment to building capacity so as to serve our clients to the best of our abilities with integrity and passion.
Our history.
1996
Teresa Conradie Attorneys is established to promote the position of female lawyers in the legal profession.
1997
In September 1997, a merger creates the firm Gamede Conradie Inc. formed to establish a new entity that could meet the demands of the New South Africa more appropriately.
Originally the firm was inspired by the dream to create a law firm under the management of black South Africans that would be positioned to play a leading role in the reconstruction and development of the country.
The merger was facilitated in order to combine the skills and expertise of the two firms so that a more meaningful contribution can be made to the development, empowerment and eventual prosperity of South Africa and its people.
2000
The name of the company changes to Motla Conradie Incorporated.
2008
Motla Conradie Inc. merged with Rooth Wessels Maluleke Inc. to form Rooth Wessels Motla Conradie Incorporated. The directors of Motla Conradie Inc. later decided to reestablish the firm in its original form.
2010
In January 2010, Motla Conradie was reestablished.
2017
The firm celebrated their 20th year in existence (1997 - 2017) and a name-change followed which reflects the last names of the current directors for the next twenty years.
2018
The firm was renamed Maphalla Mokate Conradie Inc. with a vision of the future to celebrate the 3 women who are currently leading the firm to success.
