Crystal MAPHALLA
Director

Crystal Maphalla completed her LLB degree at the University of Pretoria in 2005 and commenced articles at DMR Attorneys in March 2005. During this time, she gained extensive experience in various aspects of Intellectual Property Law, Commercial Law, Labour Law as well as Civil Litigation.
In October 2006, Crystal was admitted as an attorney in the High Court of South Africa and shortly thereafter she was promoted to Partner at the firm DMR Attorneys. At this time, her main focus was on Trade Mark Prosecution and Litigation, Trade Mark searches and filings in South Africa and abroad, as well as managing the trade mark portfolios of both international and local brand owners. She also headed the civil litigation and legal collections department.
In July 2009, Crystal successfully passed her Intellectual Property exams at the South African Institute of Intellectual Property.
Crystal joined Motla Conradie Inc in December of 2012 as a Senior Associate Director.
Crystal advises the Law Society of South Africa on diverse Labour related issues and also chairs disciplinary hearings at various organizations. She is a member of the Black Lawyers Association.

Khumo Faith MOKATE

Khumo Mokate is a qualified Attorney, Notary and Conveyancer of the High Court of South Africa. She completed her LLB Law Degree at the University of Pretoria in 2001 and attended the School of Law at UNISA (Practical Legal Training) from January 2002 to June 2002.
She then joined the Road Accident Fund where she worked as a claims handler from November 2002 to December 2007. In January 2008 she was appointed as a candidate attorney at Motla Conradie Attorneys. Motla Conradie Attorneys later merged with Rooth Wessels Maluleke Inc.
In August 2009 Khumo was admitted as an Attorney and was appointed as an Associate at Rooth Wessels Motla Conradie Inc in the Third Party Litigation Department until September 2010. She then joined Motla Conradie Inc. as an Associate Director after its reestablishment. In April of 2012 Khumo was appointed as a Director of Motla Conradie.
